Kokopelli Kokopelli is known as the god of harvest, as well as the god of joy and fertility. He is referred to as the trickster by some, a storyteller, musician, teacher and healer to others. Kokopelli is a common symbol found among the Hopi, Pueblo, Navajo and the ancient Anasazi culture. A visit by Kokopelli was considered by most to bring good fortune... and a little mischief! Also called the "Hamsa" or "Hand of Fatima", the symbol is usually worn for protection, happiness, health and wealth. The Hamsa also protects the wearer from the evil eye. This particular eye-in-the-hand is based on ancient designs found at a prehistoric site in Moundville, Alabama.
